The Scion FR-S concept has been officially revealed at the New York motor show, following images of the car, which were leaked on the internet yesterday.

The Scion-badged Toyota FT-86 was a car that was rumoured to sell under that brand in the US, although no official confirmation was ever given by either of the companies, previously.

The new concept car is a more modest looking iteration of the Toyota-badged version, but we understand that the Scion will be the same car underneath.

Externally, the Scion FR-S does without the Toyota's imposing LED lights from the front end, which are chief amongst the changes.

Concept flourishes do still, however, feature. The wing mirrors and large alloys, for example, probably won’t make production.
